For a male, can I gain from liposuction 1.2 inches (pressed with the ruler to the my fat pad/pubic bone), is it possible?

Hi, For a male, would I benefit from a liposuction procedure in my pubic bone area (fat pad)? If I press with a ruler as hard as I can to the pubic bone I have an extra 1.2 inches. I have a belly but and it doesn’t seem that I have a mound in that area, what can I do to get this extra 1.2 inches or as close as possible? Thank you.

this area can be improved with liposuction, you need a formal consult.

my whole practice is doing lipoabdominoplasty, or at least liposuction with internal heating (which is not the gold standard for skin tightening with body contouring).

the smaller you are before liposuction the more contouring you can get from the procedure. most of my liposuction patients get pre and post surgical optimization with hormonal therapy (see link to help boost their weight loss before surgery and help them heal after).

You likely need weight loss and a tummy tuck . based on your decription,  but I suggest posting photos. For best results, I recommend a hi definition procedure like VASER liposuction. I use VASER HI DEF with ThermiRF/J Plasma/Reuvion/IndMode BodyTite and fat grafting to get the most fat removal, skin tightening, contour and definition. This combination will give you the most toned result. A fat transfer/BBL could also be considered, I recommend getting a formal evaluation with a hi definition physique expert. Sometimes the full scar needs to be revised and this just entails surgically removing and restitching the scar.  Sometimes the scar plus skin . needs to be removed and that is a revision tummy tuck.  I suggest posting photos and seeing an expert in revision procedures that combine liposuction/fat removal, skin tightening, body shaping/definition, fat grafting and cellulite improvement.   Best, Dr. Emer.

You need a formal evaluation by an expert in body shaping and contouring to determine what is best.  Traditional liposuction awake and smart liposuction are old methods and do very poorly for tightening skin or significant skin tightening or contouring.  Small problem areas can be improved slightly by these methods.  The best in body contouring not only removes fat with energy devices like VASER ultrasound but also internally heat the skin with radio-frequency devices such as J PLASMA/RENUVION, InMode BodyTite, ThermiRF to heat the under surface of the skin and tighten it at the same time as fat removal. These combinations are called 4D HIDEF VASER contouring and can only be done by a well . trained body contouring specialist. At the same time fat should be harvested, PRP and stem cells added and injected into muscles or indentations/cellulite to get body shaping and contouring.  This is known as a Brazilian butt lift when you inject the fat to the buttock for contouring and lifting, but fat can also be used in areas such as the chest/breast, arms/shoulders, calves and face.  Cellulite should also be treated with cellfina, sculptra, subcision and/or fillers such as bellafill, renuva synthetic fat, or sculptra.  If skin is very loose before surgery then it will need to be removed such as lower abdominal skin (tummy tuck/abdominoplasty), breast skin (breast lift), arm skin (brachioplasty).  Overall you need a full assessment, but simple liposuction alone will not tighten skin and needs a combination of various methods -- fat removal, skin tightening, defining, fat grafting, skin removal -- to get the best in body contouring and body sculpting.  Dr. Emer.

Most men seeking liposuction of the pubic area have significant skin laxity and often are somewhat overweight.

The most important variable is to decipher how much of this comes from skin laxity and how much is from subcutaneous fat.

If you lift up aggressively on your lower abdomen until the skin in the pubic area is put under a good amount of tension see if this flattens the area significantly.

If it does then that tells you how much skin laxity is contributing to the shape.

If the pubic area still bulges the same with the skin under tension that most likely this mostly represents fat Liposuction will have a more profound result.

The great majority of patients who have consulted for requesting the procedure you are do better with a skin excision in conjunction with Liposuction.

Most men seeking this procedure are looking to create a more endowed appearance because the skin is covering the base of the penis.

I suggest having multiple in person consultations. An experienced plastic surgeon should easily be able to differentiate skin versus fat through the above stated maneuver.

If during the consultation the discussion does not clearly differentiate skin versus fat then continue having more consultations.
