14 months ago I had a terrible blepharoplasty, I have a little lagophthalmos and very minor lower eyelid retraction. I don’t fully blink as my orbicularis muscle is weak and when I blink the lack of strength and lack of contact between the lids don’t activate my meibonian glands, so no oil is coming out. If I correct the minor lagophthalmos could this be solved? If I raise my lower lids will the upper eyelid have more strength upon contact in spite of orbicularis damage? Please help!!!!!

Answer: If there is true lagophthalmos, tightening of the lower eyelids can help.
I recommend waiting until you are completely healed from the sclerotherapy treatment before having fillers. Depending on the situation that could be up to 4 weeks. I encourage you to speak with the doctor treating you with sclerotherapy for more information.
Overall things appear to be healing quite well. 13 days is not nearly long enough to evaluate the result. Be patient, but continue to have regular follow up visits with your surgeon so your concerns can be discussed.Andrew Campbell, M.D.Facial Rejuvenation SpecialistQuintessa
