Will the square shape 5 weeks post BBL go away? (photos)

Question

I am happy so far with the surgery, my clothes fit so much better and I am able to rock a good pair of jeans. My Dr mentioed my skin being tough and not beeing able to give me more projection. My worry is that once the garnment comes off my butt has a square shape to it. Will this go away? Will i get a round butt result? Im only 5 1/2 wks post op hence why Im not panicking. But I would like to get your opinion on final result. Thank u bunches please see pics

Thank you for your question and photos! It is a bit early to know the full result of your BBL. 6 months to a year is when all of the residual swelling will have gone away. However, I would look at your before photos to see if this square shape was there to begin with and it may persist having been your previous shape. I would follow up with your surgeon over your 6 month healing period. Then if needed you could have a touch up BBL to possibly address the shape. I wish you the best of luck!

Brazilian Butt Lift recovery time is dependent on how the patient’s body reacts to the procedure. Patients usually return to work after a week but you should not sit without the use of cushions for at least two weeks and you must wear a compression garment for several weeks after the procedure. You should wait until at least 2 weeks after the procedure to engage in sexual activity. Swelling and discomfort normally fades at six weeks. After about a month you will be mostly healed and you can get a nice idea of the permanent results after around six months.

At 5 weeks post op it is still early in the healing stage just be patient. At 3 months I recommend more liposuction of your lower back for more buttock projection.Continue to follow up with your PS. to go over your options.

It will take 3-6 months for everything to settle and heal and the final result to be revealed. Dear mnt0615,I understand your concern and it is quite normal to be concerned about the outcome following a BBL surgery. However, you are still in the very early stages of the healing process.Your will need to be patient at this moment and follow what your surgeon has instructed you to do post operatively.At the early stage of the healing process, the tissues are still swollen. It’s a pleasure to answer your questions! Five and a half weeks is too short of a time to evaluate your Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL) final outcome. Maximum results will take up to 6 months to show. The volume of fat that can be safely injected into the hips and buttocks varies from patient to patient, and it will depend on the patient's anatomy and cosmetic goals. BBL patients can actively contribute on the success of the procedure and longevity of the results by following their surgeon’s recovery recommendations. Since every patient is unique, plastic surgeons have different post-operative protocols, customized for each patient’s needs and specific requirements. I would suggest you waiting at least 8 weeks for the swelling to recede and evaluate the results. You are still early on the healing process, it can take up to six months to see your final results, so please be patient. At the stage you are in, inflammation is normal.

What you are feeling is normal, The inflammation process can last up to 6 months, each patient has an individual recovery process. You are still in the healing process, so I recommend to be patient, and follow all other instructions given by your surgeon.

Hi dear, thank you for your question. 
Allow the tissue to heal properly and the implant to settle. Five weeks is still really early for this procedure to have some actual results. It takes time and patient, however if you don't feel comfortable with your doctor you should wait at least up to 4 months and look for other option if nothing has changed or if you are still uncomfortable. 4 months is the period of time before getting to see some good results after BBL procedure

I suggest that you keep using your garment and lymphatic drainage post surgery massages on the area will help you. Be patient and consult with your surgeon any doubts!! Good Luck.
