I am happy so far with the surgery, my clothes fit so much better and I am able to rock a good pair of jeans. My Dr mentioed my skin being tough and not beeing able to give me more projection. My worry is that once the garnment comes off my butt has a square shape to it. Will this go away? Will i get a round butt result? Im only 5 1/2 wks post op hence why Im not panicking. But I would like to get your opinion on final result. Thank u bunches please see pics
Answer: BBL Thank you for your question and photos! It is a bit early to know the full result of your BBL. 6 months to a year is when all of the residual swelling will have gone away. However, I would look at your before photos to see if this square shape was there to begin with and it may persist having been your previous shape. I would follow up with your surgeon over your 6 month healing period. Then if needed you could have a touch up BBL to possibly address the shape. I wish you the best of luck!

Answer: Brazilian Butt Lift Brazilian Butt Lift recovery time is dependent on how the patient’s body reacts to the procedure. Patients usually return to work after a week but you should not sit without the use of cushions for at least two weeks and you must wear a compression garment for several weeks after the procedure. You should wait until at least 2 weeks after the procedure to engage in sexual activity. Swelling and discomfort normally fades at six weeks. After about a month you will be mostly healed and you can get a nice idea of the permanent results after around six months.

Answer: Will the square shape 5 weeks post BBL go away? Thank you for your pictures and questions. The bottom line is that at 5 weeks, you are not there yet, so try to be patient. It will take 3-6 months for everything to settle and heal and the final result to be revealed. Make sure you follow up with your surgeon at that time to discuss your results and in the meantime, follow his or her instructions.Best of luck!Dallas R. Answer: BBL results Dear mnt0615,I understand your concern and it is quite normal to be concerned about the outcome following a BBL surgery. However, you are still in the very early stages of the healing process.Your will need to be patient at this moment and follow what your surgeon has instructed you to do post operatively. At the early stage of the healing process, the tissues are still swollen. Once the swelling subsides you will be able to see the final result of your surgery.Daniel Barrett, MD Certified, American Board of Plastic Surgery Member, American Society of Plastic Surgery Member, American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery
