One cup of coffee per day is of no concern at all. You do not need to stop this for surgery.Regards, Dr Steve Merten, Sydney
Hi. In my opinion you do not have to significantly reduce the amount of coffee prior to your surgery. Good kluckdr PG
While smoking causes a degree of constriction and damage to the microcirculation which is concerning, I doubt one cup of coffee daily will make any difference whatsoever. Of course there is no research on this,.Discuss these questions and concerns with your plastic surgeon.Best of luck!Dr. SubbioBoard-Certified Plastic SurgeonNewtown Square/Philadelphia, PA
The plastic surgeon you selected to perform your MM and lipo will have certain guidelines for pre and post-operative care. Best to consult with your plastic surgeon if no mention is made of limiting caffeine products in those guidelines. I encourage my patients to drink protein shakes to enhance wound healing following surgery.Kenneth Hughes, MD, Board Certified Plastic SurgeonLos Angeles, CA
A cup of coffee each day should not interfere with the results of your surgery. There are foods and beverages, as well as vitamins and supplements, that we do restrict prior to surgery because they may increase the risk of bleeding or bruising. Your surgeon should have very specific directions in that regard. Best of luck with your procedure.
Always best to ask your chosen surgeon the practices he/she desires for you to do pre operatively. I prefer decreasing coffee intake to 1 a day at most, but that is me.
There is no need for you to stop dfrinking coffee. But if you are taking iron pills to improve your hemoglobin levels for surgery try not to take them at the same than coffee or any other caffeinated drink , because it will interfere with it absorption.
Hi, thanks for the questions and the photos.I can inform you that it is okay to drink your coffee daily until the day before the surgical procedure. The important thing is to decrease the amount. NO indicates any process in plastic surgery. There are certain vitamins and medications that should stop a month earlier. In your case you can do full lipo of back, lateral lipo and the removal of skin with its plicatura of the rectos abdominales, and the fat can be injected in the buttocks (DBL). You must get a plastic surgeon who is certified in your country or in the list on the page of R.S.I hope my guidance will be of great help to you. Thank you.
You will get different answers from different plastic surgeons. Some will say you don't have to stop it before surgery others will say the opposite. Some surgeons will tell you to avoid taking caffeine for one week after surgery because it causes constriction of blood vessels witch decreases the blood supply to the fat grafts. Some people believe this will cause a poor result. Some surgeons feel differently. I hope you find this information useful. For more information please watch the enclosed video.
There is no harm in drinking coffee (especially one cup/day) and this should cause no hard to your results. Your plastic surgeon should supply you with a sheet instructing you on what you can and cannot drink/eat prior to surgery. Please ask for this sheet if it hasn't been given to you. Best of luck,
An extended tummy tuck usually wraps around the waist. This is less common than a standard TT. If there is severe laxity laterally, then it is often extended.
Fluid buildup (seroma) after a tummy tuck is often talked about like it's unusual, but in reality it's a completely normal healing response of the body. Seroma is also not bad in and of itself—it's only that the risk of the seroma becoming infected is a concern. As long as you continue p...
Dear josefinepuent,Thank you for your pictures. You actually have a umbilical hernia which could very easily fix during a tummy tuck. But this is not the cause of the pregnant look like you said you have. Most likely you may have some fat and abdominal muscle separation. I recommend you to h...
