What are the risks if any? IS there anything that is considered safe to get rid of skin tone unevenness and small indentations due to acne scars?
Answer: 12 weeks pregnant and plan on getting IPL or microneedling During pregnancy, IPL and/or microneedling treatments are not recommended. No specific studies determine the safety with pregnant women and IPL treatments. However, hormonal changes during pregnancy change skin pigmentation and the way skin responds with both treatments.

Answer: I am 12 weeks pregnant and plan on getting IPL or Microneedling. Is this ok? We do not recommend having these treatments while pregnant. Pregnancy can cause hormone levels to fluctuate which can lead to, hyper/hypopigmentation, scarring and other negative effects that under any of circumstances the risks are minimal. We suggest waiting till after your pregnancy to see a licensed medical aesthetican to have your skin re-evaluated.

Answer: IPL/Microneedling during pregnancy Good morning and thank you for your question! Pregnancy is contraindicated for both IPL and microneedling treatments. While there is no evidence to support that these treatments are unsafe during pregnancy, it is recommended that a person should not receive these treatments while pregnant. Your skin tone is likely changing due to hormone fluctuation and will continue to change throughout your pregnancy and the months that follow. I recommend waiting until after your pregnancy to receive treatments for both skin tone and acne scarring. Best of luck! For more information, please feel free to visit our website!

Answer: Ipl/ microneedling while pregnant Hi, It is not recommended getting either of these treatments done while pregnant. Hormone changes alone could be a non effective reason, or cause pigmentation to come out that may have normally not happened. There are no studies stating that either of these are unsafe during pregnancy. It is my professional, ethical answer. Even up to six months after you have the baby, you are still going to be dealing with hormonal changes that may hinder these treatments. Best wishes to you.
