I had a TT with diastasis repair Dec 2019. April 2021, a large lump appeared below my belly button. I had a repair to the lump May 2021. My PS said I ripped the fascia, staples were bent. The repair was with dissolvable stitches, belly button down. The lump, size of a bouncy ball has returned. I have not done anything differently in the past year, peloton & light PT. I need a plan to move forward that does not involve surgery every year and allows me to live a normal life.

Answer: Diastasis repair complication Dear humphres, I understand your concern. However, without a proper assessment, it would be difficult to determine what went wrong. It is best that you visit your plastic surgeon for further assessment or ask for a second opinion. Only after a thorough examination, you can get proper recommendations and advice. Answer: Adominoplasty Based on the brief history and limited pictures posted, it advisable to see your plastic surgeon , or better to see a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon for in person physical examination and what ever imaging is needed to make a proper diagnosis and plan for treatment. In your post it sounds staples were used for the fascia?? I do not think a Board Certified plastic Surgeon would use staples to repair Diasthesis.
