I understand your concern. However, without a proper assessment, it would be difficult to determine what went wrong. It is best that you visit your plastic surgeon for further assessment or ask for a second opinion. Only after a thorough examination, you can get proper recommendations and advice.

Typically at one year post op patients are able to fully resume regular activities and compression support is no longer necessary. I encourage you to return to your surgeon for an evaluation to determine why it may be taking you longer to fully heal.

A full tummy tuck is the most invasive cosmetic surgery performed. The procedure separates your abdominal wall and reconstruct the muscle layer.
This causes the body to be permanently changed. Most people eventually get used to the changes and the new sensations become the norm.

Different people perceive their recovery differently and some people do have uncomfortable sensations or feeling of tightness or pulling from the procedure.

Stretching exercises and weaning off the need to wear pressure garments may be helpful.

There really isn’t much your plastic surgeon can do for you at this point.

Still, I suggest having continued follow up appointments.

Depending on how challenging the situation is you may request a referral for physical therapy. A physical therapy programming may or may not be helpful for your situation.
