Under arm lipo Monders cord? (photos)

Question

The doctor said it is monders cord. He said its a vein which is coagulated and no longer carrying blood. He said to push very hard on the scar, causing it to crack into small segments. put your arm up against the wall and stretch it out. if you push on it and it cracks, that is what is supposed to happen. question, how hard do I push and how long until it pops? If I don't do anything will itgo away on its own? And should I push in the arm pit area as well?

I suggest steroid injections and 5FU into the cord and externally Velashape or Venus legacy treatments to help loosen the tissue.  Best, Dr. Emer.

Inflammation in the connective tissue can create the banding that you see in the axillary region. This is more commonly seen one thermal damage has been inflicted by a laser or ultrasound.

I believe scar bands in the arm are more likely in aggressive liposuction.   I do not associate this complication with a vein issue but all tissues have veins.    The  arm band will relax over the first year or so so be patient.  I would massage but not do any aggressive treatment in that this may cause more banding.  Be patient.  It will improve greatly.
