Surgical brow lift vs. blepharoplasty in late 20s? (Photo)

Hello and thank you for your question. A formal evaluation would be needed to determine the best treatment. There are both surgical and non-surgical options to correct this, depending on your exact situation.

For less significant issues, there are nonsurgical treatments: To give the eyebrows a nice lift, we use injectable fillers to improve the eyebrow, upper eye, forehead and temple. A filler is placed on the bone and in the fat pads of these areas to contour and lift without it looking overdone. We use cannulas to limit pain and swelling.

Surgery (browlift and/or upper blepharoplasty) is a great option for more significant improvement- for example if there is more substantial eyebrow drooping. I suggest getting a consultation with an experienced cosmetic dermatologist and facial sculpting expert, or an aesthetic facial plastic surgeon like Dr. Donald Groves; we are both located right here in Los Angeles.

Hello, hope you are well. Thank you for posting your photos and questions! Based on your description and the photos that you provided, you would be a candidate for an endoscopic brow lift. I do not see a role for upper blepharoplasty in your situation. I perform temporal brow lifts as well, but I think elevation of the central brow is likely necessary to achieve your goals.

To make an assessment using only pictures we need much better quality pictures. Looking plastic surgeons, and how they take before and after pictures. To assess someone for a brow lift we need to see their entire forehead including their hairline. Full face pictures are ideal. We don’t take pictures with facial expressions. Both procedures can be excellent and sometimes doing a brow lift and blepharoplasty together being a little more conservative on both procedures, gives the very best outcome. I suggest having multiple in person consultations with local plastic surgeons in your community.
This type of assessment is much better done through an in person, discussion with the surgeon can lift your brow and do their job adequately.
Personally, I think brow lift are generally better procedures than an upper blepharoplasty. Different providers will have different opinions. In the end, finding the right provider is probably the most important variable.
