Im nearly 40 and am starting to notice the first signs of aging like jowls and loose skin around my neck. Instead of spending heaps of $$ on fillers abd threads etc i was wondering if i should just get a mini facelift instead?
Answer: Late 30s , with early changes in lower face and neck: surgery? You are relatively young but you have definite early changes of aging that fillers will not help. Threads are very temporary and non surgical tightening techniques unlikely to make enough of a difference. Do your research. Many minilifts give mini results that do not last based on the technique. The SMAS and platysma in the neck need to be corrected. A deep plane approach which can be limited in scope will give the most natural and long lasting results.

Answer: Mini facelift: things you should know Thank you for your question and photos. You appear to be a candidate for a mini facelift to reduce early signs of aging, such as jowl formation and mild skin laxity. This procedure can revitalize your appearance by removing jowls, tightening your skin, and angulating your jawline for a smooth and youthful result. I recommend scheduling an in-person consultation with an experienced, board-certified facial plastic surgeon. They will be able to discuss your concerns and aesthetic goals with you to help you decide on the best treatment option.

Answer: Neck lift Based on these photos, you have very strong anterior platysma muscle bands that will not respond to any other treatment but surgery. Anterior neck lift with repositioning and partial resection of platysma muscle (platysmoplasty) would provide good neck contour for many years. In person consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon familiar with this procedure would help. Good luck.

Answer: Mini Facelift & Mini neck lift -- FaceTite RF for internal skin tightening + Neck Liposuction for definition/contouring FaceTite can internally tighten the skin in the lower face and neck. After all the skin has been heated and contracted, we shape the neck with liposuction to give definition and remove stubborn pockets of fat. In one quick treatment, we can tighten skin, remove fat, and contour the lower face, jawline, and jowls with only a weekend of downtime. Keep in mind that combination approaches will give you a more significant improvement as opposed to a single procedure. I recommend getting a consultation with a board-certified cosmetic dermatologist and facial sculpting expert. Best, Dr. Emer

Answer: Short Scar Facelift Thank you for your question and sharing your photographs. If you would like to understand wide and short scar the plane facelift could offer, I suggest that you examine your facial features when you lie down completely flat without a pillow versus sitting up or leaning forward. The appearance of the face lying down has a lot of similarities to what deep plane facelift can do. For this reason, I tend to think of the facelift intervention as a stabiliser of the facial soft tissues rather than a lift because there is a reference shape that we can aspire to achieve. The appearance of the face lying down is never pulled or windswept and generally represents a good surgical target.
