Could skin retraction & overall results be compromised if the area did not receive compression for the 1st 3 days?

If you continue to wear the garment as instructed, that area should settle down nicely. However, please discuss any concerns you have with your surgeon.

Compression is helpful to control swelling and provide support to tissues as they heal. It is unlikely that not having the compression garment for a particular area for three days would have a significant impact on results. You can also consider lymphatic massage to help with swelling and improve contours. Be sure to discuss your concerns with your surgeon.

There is no evidence that compression garments have any effect a liposuction outcomes.
I don’t think compression garments are all that important and I definitely don’t think they have any impact on final outcomes.
There are only two variables that determine Liposuction. The first is the patient candidacy for the best teacher in the first place and the second is the skill and experience of the provider. If liposuction results don’t turn out well it was either because the patient wasn’t a good candidate, the provider didn’t have the skill and experience or a combination of both.
Compression and postoperative care instructions don’t affect the outcome.
Not wearing compression for three days will have no impact on your final results.
