I had a tummy tuck for years ago and as you can see in the pictures, I still have some loose skin. Do you think that having liposuction will help me or having a tummy tuck revision? As far as my back, I definitely want to have liposuction. Do you recommend jplasma?
Answer: Revision Thank you for your inquiry! Based on your photos, you're a great candidate for abdominal liposuction revision and liposuction to your back which can be done at the same time. We would love to sit down with you in person and discuss your concerns and all your options. Schedule a consultation with a Board-Certified Plastic Surgeon to assist you in reaching your goals!

Answer: Revision of your tummy tuck using Liposuction Thank you for the photos. There seem to be a few things going on and include some excess fat, some skin laxity, and some scar deformities. The treatment really will depend on what bothers you most and how much you want to improve things. Liposuction alone may reduce the excess fat, but the skin laxity will increase. J-plasma in my opinion will not help much in your case. The best possible outcome would be to combine liposuction with a revision of your tummy tuck - this would tighten the skin, remove fat, and smooth out the scar. Revisions like this are a large part of my body contouring practice and many patients travel from California for this. Make sure to see an experienced board certified plastic surgeon who specializes in lipo and tummy tucks, since your case will take a high level of expertise.

Answer: Revision surgery Liposuction and scar revision of the entire tummy tuck will lower your scar, flatten your contours, and give definition to your belly. Unfortunately, I am now convinced that J Plasma does not have the ability to tighten skin that is thick, like back skin. I do not recommend using it because it will be a waste of money. However, J Plasma of the abdomen after liposuction is completed would be a good idea.

Answer: Tummy tuck revision and circumferential extension You will need a revision of the tummy tuck for the excess skin. I also recommend a circumferential extension, which is basically a body lift. The excess skin on the back will not be corrected by liposuction only. Best Wishes, Gary Horndeski, M.D.
