I had a tummy tuck for years ago and as you can see in the pictures, I still have some loose skin. Do you think that having liposuction will help me or having a tummy tuck revision? As far as my back, I definitely want to have liposuction. Do you recommend jplasma?

Answer: Liposuction I would start with liposuction and add J plasma for the back. If the dog ears do not shrink, then they can be revised later in the office under local anesthesia.

The treatment really will depend on what bothers you most and how much you want to improve things. Liposuction alone may reduce the excess fat, but the skin laxity will increase. J-plasma in my opinion will not help much in your case. The best possible outcome would be to combine liposuction with a revision of your tummy tuck - this would tighten the skin, remove fat, and smooth out the scar. Revisions like this are a large part of my body contouring practice and many patients travel from California for this. Make sure to see an experienced board certified plastic surgeon who specializes in lipo and tummy tucks, since your case will take a high level of expertise.
