In order to evaluate most accurately- an in person exam is essential as well as all views of the nose. Based on the photo that you have provided- a complete Rhinoplasty through a closed technique - in the right hands- will help you achieve a more feminine and elegant nose.
Thank you very much for sharing your concerns with us.The harmony between facial parts makes us instinctively recognize the beauty... without knowing it, without defining it, just a perception that surprises and captivates us.In this regard, I suggest perform a Closed Rhinoplasty (without visible scars) to treat the tip, base and nasal bridge. With this procedure you get a delicate nose, better harmonize with your other facial features.Respectfully,Dr. Emmanuel Mallol Cotes.-
Thank you for your question. Based on your photograph and concerns, you may be a good candidate for an open rhinoplasty. During this procedure, the underlying cartilages of the nose are reshaped with suture to help refine the tip and dorsum (bridge of the nose). The dorsum can also be lowered (or raised) depending on your needs. At the same time, a small amount of tissue from each nasal sill to narrow the nasal base and help with nostril flare. I would recommend consulting with a board certified facial plastic or plastic surgeon, who specializes in rhinoplasty. There you will be able to discuss your concerns and goals for surgery. I hope that this helps!-David Gilpin
It is hard to say from just one picture, but likely you would benefit from a bit more projection of the tip and the bridge with slight narrowing of the bridge and alar width. A comprehensive evaluation with digital imaging will help determine how best to proceed.
Hello and thank you for your question. Based on yourphotograph, you may benefit from a tip refining rhinoplasty. Your surgeon canaccomplish this by trimming, suturing, and reshaping the cartilage in yourlower nose. Make sure you specifically look at before and afterpictures of real patients who have had this surgery performed by your surgeonand not just a computer animation system. The most importantaspect is to find a surgeon you are comfortable with. I recommend that you seekconsultation with a qualified board-certified plastic surgeon who can evaluateyou in person.Best wishes and good luck.Richard G. Reish, M.D.Harvard-trained plastic surgeon
Hi thanks for your enquiry. You can achieve optimal improvement with mild narrowing of the nasal bridge with slight concavity to achieve a feminine nose.Your bulbous tip needs cephalic trimming with alar base reduction. However to get a better reshaping and a natural look all factors has to be considered to harmonious with rest of your facial features .Do consult a board certified rhinoplastic surgeon ,have a detailed discussion and be realistic with your expectation and go ahead with the procedure. Good luck.
Thank you for posting a photo. I think the result you desire is definitely achievable, but as mentioned in prior answers, an in person consultation will give the best information on what your options and realistic end result are. Please be sure to visit experienced Board Certified Surgeons. best of luck! Dr. Kim
You would have to be seen in person, but a tip rhinoplasty and alarplasty might be of benefit. Best of luck.
Alarplasty can be accomplished with conservative trimming of the ala at their bases to decrease nostril flaring. I believe that it will take more than just removing some cartilage from your tip in order to make it smaller. I can explain this more in an in person consultation, but you will likely require tip grafts to make your tip appear more narrow and refined. Grafts can be taken from the nasal septum or one of your ears from a well hidden incision. Placement of these cartilage grafts will have the benefit of increasing the tip projection and support as well as creating a refined, feminine nose via closed rhinoplasty techniques.
Thank you for your question. The key is to change the angles of your cartilages in the tip of your nose. You may need a cartilage graft to help define your nasal tip. As an artist I like using the reshaping technique when performing Rhinoplasties. Using advanced suturing techniques I can change the nasal cartilages giving you a thinner, more refined natural looking nose. I like to find out from the patient what they don't like about their nose and what their goals are. I then examine the nose and I write up a detailed operative plan. I incorporate the FINNESSE technique which I invented. Bleeding, bruising and postoperative pain is minimal when compared to traditional techniques and recovery I see quicker. I don't routinely pack the nose. It's not uncommon that some patients have no bruising after surgery. For more information please see the enclosed video and I hope you find this helpful.
Your request would not be covered by insurance as, while it would change your nasal profile, it would not change the fact that sunshine still hits your nasal dorsum and can lead to all those issues you mentioned. To minimize sun damage to your nose, try Zinc oxide, it's a fantastic sunblock.
