Pointy nose too large for face with small chin. (Photos)

Question

What do I need to have done to fix my nose? Sometimes it looks fine in photos and quite balanced but other times it looks so pointed and large for my face depending on the camera angle.

Hello and thank you for your question. Based on your
photograph, you may benefit from a nasal tip deprojection to make your overall nose size smaller.  You may also benefit from a chin implant performed at the same time.   Make sure you specifically look at before and after
pictures of real patients who have had this surgery performed by your surgeon
and not just a computer animation system. The most important
aspect is to find a surgeon you are comfortable with. I recommend that you seek
consultation with a qualified board-certified plastic surgeon who can evaluate
you in person.

In this regard, I suggest perform a Closed Rhinoplasty (without visible scars) to treat the tip, base and nasal bridge.With this procedure you get a delicate nose, better harmonize with your other facial features.

You nose looks a bit pointy because you have a relatively short chin. Computer imaging will show whether chin augmentation alone makes your nose looks better or whether it should be combined with a nasal tip reshaping procedure.

The side profile photographs demonstrated in overly projecting nose, and under projecting chin. The overly projecting nose can be de-projected with a  closed rhinoplasty procedure, and making any other adjustments necessary with all the incisions placed on the inside of the nose. A small chin implant can be placed to augment vision forward which will help with facial balance and proportions, especially with respect to the overly projecting no. Chin implants are manufactured in a large variety of sizes and shapes and can be placed at the same time as the rhinoplasty under general anesthesia. Yes your slightly over-projected tip can be set back but I want to see a picture that clearly shows a profile view that includes the radix (the top of the bridge). If the radix is under- projected a small graft in this area will improve  balance, maintain definition, and actually make the tip look less projected. A chin implant would also improve proportions in the lower face and improve jawline contour.
