You’ll need to have a consultation with a board-certified plastic surgeon to determine which procedures will be sufficient to address your specific concerns. It sounds like you may be a good candidate for a tummy tuck, since CoolSculpting® can help eliminate some lingering fat but it won’t tighten or get rid of the sagging abdominal skin that commonly occurs after someone loses a significant amount of weight.
Coolsculpting isn't good for skin tightening. This is difficult to answer without pictures, but it sounds like you might be a candidate for a tummy tuck and/or skin removal and liposuction, which can be performed at the same time. I use VASER HI DEF with ThermiRF and fat grafting to get the most fat removal, contouring and skin tightening. I recommend getting a formal consultation with a body shaping expert. Best, Dr. Emer
Hi. Since Coolsculpting doesn't do anything to tighten loose skin, it would not be the right answer for you. It sounds like you are more of a tummy tuck candidate. Best to discuss with a local plastic surgeon for more of an accurate assessment.
Thank you for your queston. It is difficult to give you an answer without any photographs. However, Coolsculpting is not good for tightening the skin. It sounds like you might benefit better from a tummy tuck and/or liposuction. I recommend having a consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon to determine the best treatment plan for you. Best of Luck!
Although CoolSculpting is effective on the abdomen, the primary concern after a significant weight loss is usually excess skin, not fat. Without the fat to fill it out, skin becomes loose and saggy. CoolSculpting is not a skin tightening procedure and therefore wouldn't be a good match for you if that is what’s needed. I recommend seeing a qualified plastic surgeon or dermatologist near you who can help determine the cause of your hanging belly. Once you know what's causing it, you can move forward with an effective treatment.
There are many cases where prospective clients have lost a serious amount of weight, and have turned out to be candidates for CoolSculpting. We offer free, no obligation consultations, and are able to give an in-person assessment to see if they will benefit from the CoolSculpting procedure. In some cases, the Coolmax Advantage Plus applicator can be very effective, usually requiring several treatments. In other cases, there is simply too much overhang, and the laxity of the skin would be increased by a very noticeable degree by treating with CoolSculpting. In that case, a tummy tuck would most likely be preferred. The best thing is to have a consultation to see if Coolsculpting would be a good option.
It is difficult to say without photos. However, Coolsculpting is for fat removal and will likely not provide the level of skin tightening that you likely need based on the question. I would speak to a plastic surgeon who does both invasive and non-invasive modalities to know all of your options.

You need to have an assessment by a certified CoolSculpting medical office. The key to a good assessment is to see if there is a significant amount of "pinchable" fat. This fat is nicely removed by CoolSculpting. If the sag is caused mostly by fat dependency then it should tighten up gradually after the procedure. If the overhang is more due to stretched out skin you can still remove the fat and then follow with a radio frequency procedure or have both the fat and skin tightening by undergoing an abdominoplasty by a qualified plastic surgeon. Doing the right procedure is critical to get the best results. Most offices doing CoolSculpting will offer a free assessment to help you find your answer. Good luck.
Congratulations on your weight loss! That's great! Coolsculpting is great for tightening in areas where we are treating for fat reduction but if you've already lost the weight and your only issues is the loose or redundant skin, then more than likely you would need to seek the help of a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon that can discuss your much more definitive surgical options with you.
Thank you for your question and sorry to hear about your bad experience. The massage should be done 2 minutes after the applicators are removed. The timing of the massage is important because the treated fat cells are still crystallized and more vulnerable to breakage. Studies have shown that...
Thank you for your question. Coolsculpting prices vary from place to place and how many treatments you need. However, the abdomen can be counted as two small applicators or 1 large applicator and the typical pricing is $1500 per treatment. Please consult with a expert to determine if you are a...
I am so sorry that you had to experience that. It is a rare side effect and it can be treated surgically and with liposuction. Your provider is obligated to inform you about chance of paradoxical hyperplasia. Good luck!
