Is the incision for my septorhinoplasty healing correctly? (photo)

Hi Doctors I just want to know if this looks like normal healing? To me it doesn’t seem straight and there is a bulge on top of the incision so it doesn’t feel “flush”. Will this heal in time or will I need a revision you think? I’m 8 weeks post op. Thanks

Thanks for your photos. You appear to be healing very well. As I'm sure your surgeon has told you, swelling is expected during healing. When healing is complete, the discoloration and bumpiness will resolve. Warm regards.

Hi. It is very rare that my nose surgery patients will need any revision done to the columellar scar. This area heals very well, and only tend to be an issue if the patient is a smoker. Given you are 8 weeks post op, you are probably at the stage of worst scarring. Massage and moisturise that area and it should improve over time. Speak to your surgeon if you have further concerns.

Based on your photos, your incision appears to be healing well.  Keep in mind that scars can take a year or more to lighten an soften.  You are very early in the healing process still.  If you have continued concerns, I encourage you to discuss these with your surgeon.
