I have been taking this past year to really work hard at ensuring a safe weight loss. I am a 335 LB woman who I would like to think carries her weight well BUT I noticed I'm kind of losing a lot of shape in my buttox but retaining a lot of fat in my thighs (which I'm thrilled with). Would it be possible to have a BBL/Tummy Tuck done? I've lost around 50 lbs so far!
Answer: BBL and Tummy Tuck Candidate Thanks for your question. It is difficult to tell just from this picture if you are a good candidate for a BBL and tummy tuck. I suggest you upload front, side and back pictures of you in a two piece bathing suit or undergarments for a better evaluation. That said, I perform countless bbl and tummy tuck combo surgeries at my practice and recommend you schedule a consult for a proper evaluation. Make sure the surgeon you choose has extensive experience in with BBL and tummy tuck combos and clean credentials. Always consult with a board certified plastic surgeon. Take care, Moises Salama MD, Board Certified Plastic Surgeon

Answer: BBL and tummy tuck Dear EllieD333, it is hard to tell for sure without an examination. If you are considering a surgery, I would suggest you to consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations. Answer: Cosmetic surgery at 335 pounds At 335 pounds you are still morbidly obese and quite a ways away from being a good candidate for any surgical procedure. I’m guessing you need to lose at least another hundred pounds before you are approaching being an appropriate candidate. Morbidly obese people are not good candidates for Liposuction or fat transfer procedures and most likely with successful weight loss you will lose your candidacy for liposuction and increase your candidacy for skin tightening procedures. Continue doing what you’re doing or if you’re plateauing do more of the same since it’s working. Weight loss can we challenge but you have proven to yourself and to the world that you are capable of it. Keep up the good work. Best, Mats Hagstrom MD

Answer: BBL Hello, and thanks for your question. Congratulations on the weight loss! You would be a candidate if your BMI is under 35. It would be unsafe to perform surgery if your BMI is over 35. Please see a board-certified physician for your consultation. Best of luck to you!
