I have my Hood pierced as well as just got my Christina (surface piercing at the top of the vagina) pierced today 2/8/22 and my BBL is scheduled 5/24/22 it will be healed by then but do I need to take it out or put in a longer bar for swelling after my BBL?
Answer: Piercings and BBL Surgery The tract for Christina piercing should be well healed by May 24th for your surgery. You might want to consider removing the piercing for the surgery as you will be turned for liposuction of the abdomen, flanks, and back. Part of the procedure is done with you on your back and then the remainder is when you are lying on your stomach. You will be under anesthesia so you will not be able to feel any undo pressure or pulling on that part of your body. It would be safer for you to remove the piercing just before surgery. It should be easily replaced just after surgery. But you are also correct in that you might want to have a longer bar or curved barbell for the postop swelling. The lower abdomen and genital region often bruises and collects the swelling in the immediate postop period. After the swelling subsides, you can use whatever jewelry you would like. Answer: Genital piercings and BBL Each plastic surgeon will have their own protocols when it comes to piercings. Sometimes surgery centers and hospitals also have policies about removing metal objects or piercings before surgery. Having the piercing probably isn’t going to interfere with the procedure but in your case you need to contact your provider and run it by him or her.

Answer: Piercings Hello, and thanks for your question. We require that our patients take out all piercings prior to surgery. You may be subject to burns if you leave them in during a BBL procedure. Ask your specific surgeon what their protocol is. Please see a board-certified physician for your consultation. Best of luck to you!
