hello mchapa85 Liposuction is considered to be a very safe procedure, however, like all surgical procedures, there is a small probability of post-surgical problems like swelling, infection, bleeding, changes in sensation, prolonged healing time or changes in skin appearance. Safety and improved outcomes are more likely with surgeons certified by the American Society of Plastic Surgery or the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery and those with years of experience. #septic #risk
Liposuction alone has a very low risk for infection, but it is certainly not zero.Kenneth Hughes, MD
If you are using a board-certified Doctor, your risk is extremely low. For best results with liposuction, I recommend a hi definition procedure like VASER liposuction. I use VASER HI DEF with ThermRF and fat grafting to get the most fat removal, skin tightening, contour and definition. This combination will give you the most toned result. I recommend getting a formal evaluation with a hi definition physique expert. Best, Dr. Emer
It is imperative that you seek treatment from a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon with hospital privileges and have your procedure done in a fully accredited facility.
this should be extremely rare. however you need to be done in a certified and inspected facility, and preferably by a board certified and experienced plastic surgeon. I have never had an infection from liposuction. my regimen is to have the client shower with hibiclens for 3 days in advance and the morning of the procedure if possible. don't get it in the eyes which can cause major corneal damage. I also use 5mg gentamyecin ( antobiotic ) in each liter of tumescent fluid ( used universally in liposuction, contains epinephrin to reduce bleeding ) and an intravenous antibiotic prior to the procedure starting ( usually cephalexin ). also as this is elective surgery never operate on a client with any type of open wound or infection.
I'm not sure I totally understand what you are asking but I think it has to do with risk of infection from liposuction. I can tell you from my own experience the risk is low. After doing thousands of cases in a more than 30 year time span I have yet to see my first infection in liposuction. Just make sure your doctor is a board certified plastic surgeon.
If you are using a certified facility with a reputable Board Certified plastic surgeon certified by the ABPS, the risk of sepsis should be extremely low. In 30 years of liposuction I have not seen a single infection, no less sepsis. The risk is negligible if you are enjoying good health and free of diabetes, immunosuppression, etc.... Also, be careful to avoid massive liposuction because all risks are higher with the very large volume procedures. I can't speak to this device, but keep in mind, non surgical options give only mild improvement compared to surgical lifting. With non-surgical treatments, skin tightening can be done with a combination of vanquish, venus legacy, exilis, celllutone/Zwave. For best results, I recommend a hi de...
As noted below flank liposuction is usually well tolerated and the skin often re-drapes nicely to enhance the "hourglass" shape. I would follow up with your board certified plastic surgeon to discuss your concerns as they will be able to examine your skin elasticity and provide more insight.
Hello GRNDR Sorry about this, you shouldn't be experiencing pain at this point post-op, i would advice you visit a board certified PS for an in-patient consultation to help find out what is wrong. #pain #post-op
