Will only flank liposuction enhance an hourglass shape or will it end up ruining my body? (Photos)

it looks like you are an excellent candidate for liposuction of your flanks, which could be expected to give you more of an hourglass appearance. This liposuction should not affect your abdomen at all. In general, the flanks are usually very good at re-draping without the appearance of excess skin and folding. You need to see a board-certified plastic surgeon to evaluate your skin and fat deposits and determine whether you are a good candidate for sure.

Liposuction results are highly surgeon dependent.  Liposuction will not really be able to remove body fat evenly throughout the body.  Rather it should be used selectively to remove the more resistant areas.
Usually the additional areas liposuctioned are discounted so it makes sense to do abdomen, and flanks at the same time.   In addition, it is important to blend the abdomen with the flanks from a technical standpoint.  Flank liposuction will give you a smaller waistline and is the main reason for doing flank liposuction.   All of this is really up to you.

great candidate for waistline contouring liposuction of your abdomen, flanks,

As noted below flank liposuction is usually well tolerated and the skin often re-drapes nicely to enhance the "hourglass" shape. I would follow up with your board certified plastic surgeon to discuss your concerns as they will be able to examine your skin elasticity and provide more insight.

This is a tough question to answer without examining a patient, but in my experience with enough skill and focus a surgeon should have a good shot at achieving what you are after.  Best wishes.

Hello and thanks for the question. Your abdominal aesthetics will most likely not be negatively impacted by a flank-only lipo procedure. However, a true hourglass figure will require your surgeon to focus more on fat transfer to the hips than on buttock projection. Good luck

I think you are a very good candidate for liposuction of your flanks.  If it is down carefully then you should end up with a nice symmetrical result.  I am pretty certain that you won't have any issues with loose skin or stretch marks. . Be sure to wear your compression garments post operatively.  All the very best 

If you do not want to lose weight, then lipo would be the only way to soften the waist/flank area....
