Is pain normal almost 1 year after liposuction? Do you recommend any tests or treatment to help?

I had aggressive liposuction almost a year ago and I still have severe pain in my back and "buffalo" hump" area. I also have pain from the blood pressure cuff during my surgery. I have taken Nuerotin this whole time which helps but doesn't take the pain away completely. Is this pain most likely be permanent?

hello GRNDR Sorry about this, you shouldn't be experiencing pain at this point post-op, i would advice you visit a board certified PS for an in-patient consultation to help find out what is wrong. #pain #post-op

Significant pain is not typical 1 year after liposuction. You should discuss this with your plastic surgeon. Consider a second opinion to have someone review your overall history and examine you.

Sorry to hear about your pain, GRNDR.
In general, liposuction pain should subside in a few days. General discomfort should only be felt up to four weeks. After that, everything should have been back to normal.
It’s possible that the pain may or may not be caused by your previous liposuction. I suggest you consult your experienced and board-certified plastic surgeon for a physical evaluation.
