I'm two weeks post circumferential arm lipo and can't fully Lift my arms above my head. It feels like a tight band pulling in the armpit area. Will this subside? Should I stretch?
Answer: Lifting arms after Liposuction & Aftercare--RF treatments (Venus Legacy, Exilis Ultra) Cellutone/zwave, hyperbaric oxygen This may be due to swelling, which can last 3-6 months after your procedure. If you're concerned, I recommend following up with your Doctor. For liposuction after care, I recommend adding hyperbaric oxygen and lymphatic massage along with your compression to help decrease swelling. To improve your final results, I also recommend adding vanquish for further fat removal, exilis/venus legacy for skin tightening, cellutone/z wave to make the skin smooth, remove scar tissue, and improve the skin’s appearance. See an expert. Best, Dr. Emer

Answer: Arm tightness after liposuction Thanks for the question. It is very important to stretch your arms and maintain full range of motion after liposuction. Scar formation will occur after liposuction but it is really important to stretch any tightness in the postoperative period. It is rare that physical therapy is needed but a visit to your treating surgeon should determine if this is needed.
