BA correction...with complications from EDS. Where do I go from here?

Mid-40s and had BA a few years ago. The initial surgery didn't go well with problems healing the wound on one side and with one side sagging. Two repairs later (one for resulting asymmetry and another for a bubble) and had all but given up. Since then, have been diagnosed with EDS, Ehlers Danlos Syndrome. I have a bubble again on one side and sagging on the other. Some occasional pain, and near constant discomfort. Where do I go from here?

Because of the elastic component of subcutaneous tissues, patients with Ehlers-Danlos syndrome are more likely to develop sagging and irregularities in their breasts following breast augmentation than the average patient.  Strategies for improvement would include use of textured, "gummy bear" type cohesive implants, which are less likely to deform, along with the use of a acellular dermal matrix support.  Discuss the options with your plastic surgeon

It sounds like you need an internal support placed to help keep the implant in the correct position and not sag.The double bubble also sounds like you need internal support. Make sure you find a surgeon who is board certified in Plastic Surgery and has experience in this area.

I would start by getting a good rheumatologist and getting their green light for any subsequent surgery. After that make sure your well qualified board certified plastic surgeon knows about your past medical history. Use of accelerated dermal matrix may help along with fixing the pockets and mastopexy. There are a few who might have a special problem such as yours, or very thin tissue with distortion and show through which just will not support a breast implant. Sometimes implants are just not meant for you. An option such as a cohesive shaped implant such as the allergan 410 might stay in place, but two repairs later and still with issues does suggest surrender.
