Getting mastopexy (anchor) with implants in July, I have help for for 3 weeks. When do MOST patients with this procedure get the ok to lift 20lbs? My surgeon said 6 weeks, but could be sooner so I'm curious when majority of patient get ok'd. My son is 20lbs and will need lifting to & from car seat, up & down the stairs, out of crib, & into his high chair. I'm terrified to ruin my results.
Answer: Postoperative protocol Dear fixmybewbies, I understand your concern. It is best that you consult your plastic surgeon regarding post operative care and management (i.e including massage techniques and timing) specific to your case. Your surgeon knows your condition well and has preferences on when and what to use for faster healing and recovery. Post operative care and management depends on the type of surgery performed and the technique used during surgery among other factors. It is best, however, that you follow your plastic surgeon's advice on post operative care management for a smooth and faster healing and recovery. Answer: Recovery with implants Hello, thank you for your question. Hello, thank you for your question. I would speak to your plastic surgeon about your recovery time. It sounds like we are on the same page about the lifting especially with a breast augmentation you should wait the full 6 weeks.

Answer: Lifting Typically lifting restrictions are in place for six weeks. When returning to activity it is best to go slowly and increase weight gradually. Your surgeon will advise what is best for you based on how you are progressing through recovery.

Answer: Lifting after breast surgery Hello and thank you for your question! The short answer is to listen to the advice of your surgeon as he will be the one doing the procedure and each surgeon has a different post op protocol. Yes, in general the textbook says that surgical incisions will have most of the strength they need to do more strenuous activity and weight lifting around the 6 week mark. Depending on the patient and the operation, some surgeons allow some increased lifting and other commencement of certain exercises earlier than this time frame and some will even advise a little longer.
