Bellafill in comparison to other fillers?

It hasn't been my experience to necessarily require more, but in the event that you take more than 1 syringe, you can gradually add/space out the additional syringes over time. The beauty of Bellafill is that it can be built up over time.  Even if you truly require more syringes, you are still going to save more money over time as the product outlives it's competitors by multiple years.

For unique cases where a variety of modalities could be used to treat the condition, I would suggest an in-person or virtual consultation to develop a custom and effective treatment plan. It is difficult to precisely define the best option without collecting the same information. Thank you for the question. Bellafill® is composed of 80% bovine collagen and 20% polymetylmethacrylate (PMMA) microspheres. Bellafill® is considered a semi-permanent filler and has 5-year post-FDA approval safety data published (we are still awaiting the 10-year data).  It is a very useful and long lasting filler, but it is difficult to reverse so you need a highly experienced injector.  Also, you’ll need a skin test to be sure you're not allergic to the collagen component.

The main difference between Bellafill and the other fillers you have had (Voluma, Restylane, and Perlane) is that Bellafill is a stimulating agent and the others are immediate fillers.  These immediate fillers can be injected and produce results right away, but then they fade and dissipate completely over time.  Bellafill normally requires a series of treatment sessions to gradually stimulate the tissue to build up the area over time.  Once the desired result has been achieved with Bellafill, it will have much more longevity than the immediate fillers.  

Bellafill is a unique collagen stimulator that has been FDA cleared for up to 5 years of improvement.  The FDA indicated areas for use are the melolabial folds and acne scars but it obviously is being used off label in other areas.  The biggest learning curve I need to get patients to accept is that most of the lines around the mouth are actually due to volume loss and tissue descent of the cheeks.  Addressing those two issues first will often change our treatment plans around the mouth.  So please be sure you are seeing someone who will focus on the entire esthetic balance of the face and not just your 'lines'.  

Bellafill comes in a 0.8cc syringe. I can't say how many you would need but it is cost effective over your lifetime because it is essentially forever. I have 8 syringes in me, and I'm very please.

Bellafill is a wonderful solution for many areas of the face
that need filling. It comes in one cc
syringes filled to 0.8 cc. Many injectors
will place filler deep but Bellafill can be placed right under the skin to get
an even more precise correction of your problem. When this more superficial placement is done
the correction is about the same as a full syringe of the other fillers.

Compared to all of the other fillers, Bellafill is very
different. Initially, it is mostly the old
style collagen. Over the next 3 months.
The very small amount of the bio stimulant (2 drops), or tiny, tiny, tiny
plastic beads or PMMA that is in each syringe acts as a postulant so that you
make your own collagen and thus Bellafill, in the end is just your own
tissue. The PMMA is non absorbable so
the result is essentially permanent.

You should be delighted with the fact that you will not have
to come back for injections every few months.
It also makes your injection much cheaper in the end no matter how many
syringes you need.

I have patients like you who have said a few months after
their Bellafill that they do not know why anyone would anyone get any other
filler.
