I'm 23 years old. I've had dark circles for as long as I can remember. I'm frustrated with the way it looks. I talked to a doctor in my area about fillers and they recommended bellafill. It would cost me about $1100 for each syringe; however the doctor recommended half a syringe on each eye. I'd like to get more opinions on what I should do. Or if they're are better methods out there for correcting dark circles for a long lasting result. Also, would it be best to go for full syringes on each side?

Answer: Bellafill to help with dark circles under eyes My opinion is that I would not use Bellafill under the eyes to help improve dark circles. The skin is very thin in that area and it is possible to get long term irregularities under the eyes. I find that one of the hyaluronic acid fillers works better under the eyes. If you have never had any filler in that area before, I would also recommend using a hyaluronic acid filler first to see if you like the result before even considering anything else.

Answer: Dark circles under eyesh Your issue is rather common and usually genetic in origin. Having said that there are a number of approaches you could try, all require persistence and ongoing treatment. I agree with previous comments that avoid Bellafill. Hyaluronic acid fillers such as restylane or juvederm are the best. There is however no guarantee that they will improve the dark circles much. You also need to use bleachers, such as hydroquinone, kojic acid etc. Also consider chemical peels. See an experienced cosmetic skin specialist.
