I've been told there are two types of way for lifting,Ulthera and Thermage. What's difference between them?
Answer: Non surgical lift Ultherapy is superior to thermage.Ultherapy is focused heating where all the layer are visualized with ultrasound and thermage is blind heating.Ultherapy has the option to pick the depth you want to treat depending upon the depth of collagen layer, where as thermage is guess work. Ultherapy goes deeper than the thermage and to the layer that actually gives structure to the skin. Ultherapy treats at a higher temperature on the target tissue compared to thermage. Ultherapy does have a learning curve so in experienced hands it gives great results.

Answer: Ultherapy versus Thermage--add lasers, RF, Sculptra, microneedling/prp, J Plasma, Nova threads One is ultrasound and the other RF. For RF, it's very operator dependent, although it can get amazing results. Ultherapy is based on the number of lines and will get more improvement the more lines used. I find this works best on the jowls and brows while thermage is great for lateral facial lifting and eyes, neck and chest. Combined with sculptra, J Plasma, Nova threads you get better outcomes. Best, Dr. Emer.

Answer: Ultherapy versus Thermage Thermage was the first device created for nonsurgical skin tightening and though exciting for its time, gave fairly inconsistent results. It uses monopolar radiofrequency energy to heat the deep tissue. Over time, with protocol changes and new information, Thermage has become a better procedure. However, Ultherapy give us amazing and consistent results hands down! Ultherapy uses high energy focused ultrasound and can deliver the energy directly to the target tissue with more precise control. Unless a patient has had prior experience with thermage and responded well to it, we recommend going with Ultherapy for the face and neck. We are also using Ultherapy for the chest, knees and arms now. One place I do like Thermage is the upper eyelid skin and I will often recommend combining it along with Ultherapy. Thermage is also quite good for cystic acne treatment. Thanks for your question.

Answer: Ultherapy For Skin Tightening and Lifting Great question! Ultherapy is high intensity, microfocused Ultrasound and Thermage is Radiofrequency. There very little to no downtime with either procedure. We have found Ultherapy to be more precise delivery of the focused Ultrasound energy, which seems to result in more predictable in the results and effectiveness. Ultherapy is the only device to be FDA approved for a lifting of the skin, as the studies showed significant enough lifting to allow this indication. Feel free to call or come in for a complementary consultation. Best, Dr. Grant Stevens
