I had alar batten grafts put in as a preventative measure, during my rhinoplasty. Had no breathing issues prior to surgery. I am five months out from surgery and my nose above the tip is very bulky. I can feel the grafts and there is an unnatural crease just above my left nostril. If after a year I am still unhappy with the appearance of my nose, how easy is it to remove them these grafts? Will the swelling and recovery be as bad as the original surgery? Can it be done through a closed incision?
