How can a collapsed nasal valve be repaired if surgery repair went wrong?

The internal nasal valve is the narrowest segment of the nasal airway with the greatest air resistance. The nasal septum, nasal cartilages and inferior turbinate each form a side of the internal nasal valve. Individually or together, deviations or abnormalities of each of these structures may narrow the valve. The external nasal valve is also very important to breathing, and its lateral wall is the side of your nose where it sounds your implants were placed. Even slight narrowing or collapse of these valves may contribute to nasal obstruction. Your basal view suggests a caudal septal deviation to the left. An accurate diagnosis of your individual surgical needs is important. The implants that you have described are probably the absorbable type that are designed to last up to 18 months, and may be visible externally. While they should not interfere with a functional rhinoplasty, if you are looking to have a cosmetic rhinoplasty performed at the same time, I would recommend waiting at least a year before surgery to allow some reabsorption of the implant. You may need to have both external valve grafts, internal valve grafts (spreaders), and a revision septoplasty. I recommend an in-person consultation with a surgeon experienced in functional rhinoplasty to examine your nasal structures, including your septum and inferior turbinates, to determine your best treatment options and to see if the above thoughts are applicable to your situation.
