I have a thin body with little bit or skin to remove but my abs are completely open my stomach has a bulge that even if I suck it in it won’t go flat , a surgeon told me is my organs than even if he does a tummy tuck it will help but the organs will still pop out. Does this make sense ? Will this happen
Answer: Tummy tuck Dear vane37, tummy tuck will remove excess skin from your abdomen and tighten abdominal muscles but it will not put your organs back in place. If you are considering surgery, I would suggest you consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination, you will get more information and recommendations. Answer: A Tummy Tuck Can Help Reduce Bulging by Repairing Muscle Separation Hello and thank you for your question regarding whether a tummy tuck will put your organs back in place. Thank you for your history. From what you describe, it sounds like you have a significant case of rectus diastasis, which is the separation of the abdominal muscles. This condition can cause the abdominal contents to push forward, creating a bulging appearance. A tummy tuck, or abdominoplasty, can indeed help address this issue. During the procedure, the plastic surgeon will repair the rectus diastasis by suturing the separated muscles back together. This creates a tighter abdominal wall, which can help hold your internal organs in their proper position and reduce the bulging appearance. While a tummy tuck will not physically move your organs, the repair of the abdominal muscles will provide better support, making the abdominal area appear flatter and more toned. It is important to have a detailed consultation with a Board Certified plastic surgeon to discuss your specific condition and the expected outcomes. Good luck. I hope this helps answer your question regarding the effects of a tummy tuck on your abdominal organs. Sincerely, J. Timothy Katzen, MD, FASMBS, FICS

Answer: Muscle separation repair It sounds like you have a phenomenon called rectus diastasis. The six pack muscles are stretched apart, and need to be brought back together. This can be performed during tummy tuck, and the result is a flat stomach without organs bulging out.

Answer: Abdominal muscle seperation It sounds like you are describing diastasis recti, a condition in which the abdominal muscles separate vertically along the mid-line. Without the support of the muscles, the internal organs bulge out. A tummy tuck can repair diastasis recti so the internal organs do not bulge out. However, if there is visceral fat (fat surrounding the internal organs) you may still be left with a bulge.

Answer: Tummy Tuck Thanks so much for your question, A tummy tuck, also known as abdominoplasty, primarily focuses on removing excess skin and fat from the abdominal area and tightening the abdominal muscles. While it can improve the appearance of the abdomen by addressing issues such as loose skin and stretched muscles, it typically does not involve repositioning or altering the placement of internal organs. During a tummy tuck procedure, the surgeon may tighten the abdominal muscles, which can help improve core strength and potentially provide some support to the organs in the abdominal cavity. However, the main goal of a tummy tuck is cosmetic enhancement rather than addressing internal organ positioning. Sincerely, Dr. Emmanuel Mallol
