Had breast lift /augmentation in 2013 and explant/lift in 2018. I can’t stand being flat so going for another breast augmentation this month. I feel my nipples sit too high and don’t want another lift as my boobs sit high as is. Will implants with more upper pole fullness help make my nipples look lower? Can a doctor just move the nipples down?
Answer: Your nipples can be visually lowered. Thank you for your question. It is almost impossible to really lower the nipple position. However, making upper pole fuller by inserting the implants will make nipple look lower. Also, by removing remaining skin in the lower pole and make lower pole shorter, will help to visually lower the nipples.

Answer: Nipples The nipples cannot be moved down, but the lower breast tissue can be excised to help improve the position of the nipples. You might discuss this with your surgeon who is doing the augmentation.

Answer: Nipple positioning You may want to talk with your surgeon about possibly removing a little skin from the lower part of your breast when you go in for the new implants. This would add very little to the surgery time and recovery and could help bring your nipples down.

Answer: NAC too high Implants alone will not correct this issue. This is a very difficult problem to correct the Nipple need to be lower and surgery to do that leaves a scar above the areola. I would discuss this with your surgeon.

Answer: Implant type Dear brit415, breast implant type and sizing selection is a complicated process and requires a detailed consultation that includes a discussion of your goals, a detailed examination, and a lengthy discussion. But the decision will always start and end with the patient. When it comes to sizing, we have all of our patients find 3 photos of their desired breast size. We ask for naked breast photos because clothing can obscure the true size (push up bras). Next, we consult with patients and go over the photos and take detailed breast measurements during a physical exam. Next, we using a sizing algorithm to determine a range of implants that will work based on the exam and the measurements.Lastly, during the operation, we use silicone sizers in the operating room to see how the size actually looks in the breast. We sit the patient up in the operating room, while asleep of course, and compare the sizer result with their desired look photos. If it is too small, we start the process over with a slightly larger implant. We don't stop until we get the perfect match.Of all of my breast augmentation patients, every one of them has been happy with their size due to this detailed and meticulous process. You don't want to invest time and money into a result that is either too big or too small. You should discuss your concerns with a board-certified plastic surgeon and make sure that your surgeon understands your goals.
