I came to Istanbul, from Bali and was under the care of Vomer Clinic for 3 weeks. I had my first procedure on 1st Oct 22 with Dr Cagil (separate revew) Then on 10th Oct, I had a midface pull & temple lift with Dr Bilgen which as approx.. cost £4500, inc. hotel, breakfast, and transfer. I would say Dr Bilgen is very talented and a skilled plastic surgeon, and her and Dr Cagil work very well together, which was interesting as they are couple. Overall, I’m happy with the results. The main goal was to look fresher, and I would say this has been achieved. I’m 3 months post-surgery, feeling good, yet there’s still some tightness on my cheekbone and the scars on my head are tender to touch and there's a dip in my left temple. I was hoping for more tightness around the mouth area to reduce the sagging that it beginning to appear, but this hasn’t changed. Although this was explained that we might not see much change. I do think it was a little expensive and due to the cost, there is a part of me that wishes I had held off for a few years and had the lower facelift instead, but these things are always a gamble, and I would say it’s mostly paid off. I think I look fresh, and a little more youthful, and I hope as the swelling & tightness continues to reduce the dip in my left temple will be less prominent too. If you are interested in this procedure, you do need to brace yourself for the swelling stages. At first it's almost an alien like shape, but as you can see on the grid images of 4, the swelling and shape changes quickly, all those images are only 5 days apart. Few notes on the overall experience. After I woke in hospital from the mid-face and temple lift procedure, I felt it was more painful than first procedure on 1st Oct and they only give paracetamol. There were children crying through the night in hospital, which of course I sympathise with, but if you are paying for a private hospital care, I think its fair to expect to be a quiet ward to aid the recovery process. The hotel I stayed at was good, yet basic called The Mia Berre. Most of the staff were friendly and professional, some were not, but considering it was part of the price, it was acceptable. The hotel could really do with updating its music playlist. There are about 12 sad songs by a Sax, on a loop, it was annoying when you're trying to be positive as healing. Overall summary, I’m happy with my result and would return to Dr Bilgen for any future procedures. Oh and 1 last thing, they require you to pay in cash (Sterling), this was difficult for me as I live in Bali, I ended up losing approx. £300 in cash transfer fees etc, worth bearing in mind. Areas to be considered for improvement are the choice of hospital & hotel, some training for customer liaison staff.
I was extremely anxious about my nose job surgery since I had an accident before and my nose was in bad condition (broken to 5 pieces crooked etc) and I couldn't dare to undergo surgery if she wasn't my doctor. She was really patient and told me over and over how the process will take place. I felt that she was with me all along the way. She is really lovely! And a very competent surgeon. I am 100% happy with my new nose and finally, I can breathe through it without any effort. A nose job is one of the most talent-depended surgeries a plastic surgeon can perform. You need to find a doctor who is competent and has the artistic touch! And I am happy to say you are in the right place if Dr. Bilgen is your doctor. I hope everyone will have the nose they dream of!
I talked to Dr. Bilgen about breast augmentation surgery, and she gave me very detailed information about the surgery and after. After 2 children, my breasts sagged and became small. The doctor said that with the breast prosthesis, they would be both fuller and lifted. We decided on the operation, she gave me a lot of confidence and answered all my questions. The operation took 1 hour, when I woke up after the operation, I saw her first, she told me it was a very good operation. I was discharged the next day, my dressings came off after 3 days and when I saw that my breasts were exactly as I wanted, I cried with happiness and had almost no pain in the whole process. Both Dr. Bilgen and her assistants were there for me whenever I needed them. Thank you very much to all of them.
I have been in very caring hands of Dr. Bilgen and not only that I was looked after by her team very well and I will be coming back soon for more treatments. It was a very smooth experience. Thank you Dr. Bilgen.
Hi, jeng75! Thank you for your question and photo. The discolorations under eyes are due to these reasons: Volume loss; the hollowness under the eyes lead to less light reaching this region, causing a dark appearance. Second is skin excess; when the excessive skin shrinks, it looks more pigmented than it is. Third reason is the genetic tendency of the skin for hyperpigmentation. So, I would recommend you to have facial fat injection for malar areas and under the eyes, with carbondioxide laser treatment, which will tighten and enlighten your lower eyelid and increase the collagen synthesis with less pigmentation.
Hi, blephregret! Thank you for your question. I can see that some of your complaints still persist and some added on. I would recommend carbon-dioxide laser for lower eyelid wrinkles, botulinum toxin injection for crow's feet on the sides and fat injection for left upper eyelid hollowness.
Hi, Gorgeous64829! Thank you for your question and photos. This condition that you have is "scleral show". A lower eyelid tightening with the procedure called "lateral canthoplasty" or "almond eye surgery" you can reverse this downwards angle of your lower eyelids.
Hi, summerbree! Thank you for your questions and photos. The tiredness of your eyes are due to 3 reasons. One is the low location of your brows. (Not too much but some lift will benefit) Second is the fullness of your eyelids. An eyelift (blepharoplasty will help you get rid of the heaviness of your eyelids. Third is the descend of your midface. This causes volume loss on the cheeks and also cause hollowness under the eyes. So my recommendation for your face is an endoscopic midface lifting with/without fat injection, and eye-lifting surgery. These will provide a fresh, young and attractive appearance on your looks.
Hi, tess12_! Thank you for your question and photos. In some skin types the skin sags easier and earlier. There are some non-invasive methods like fillers and thread-lifts, but they are short-lasting and do not give the desired effect. I would recommend you an endoscopic midface lift and fat injection to your upper face. This procedure will lift your face up and with fat injection it will increase the quality of your skin. With this operation, the asymmetry between two sides can also be reduced.
