Thank you very much for enquire.It's too early to make value judgments with only one weeks after a rhinoplasty.Swelling after a rhinoplasty depends of the surgery complexity.In this regard, the nasal swelling Post-op It can last from two weeks to two months.To reduce this swelling, I recommend you perform delicates daily lymphatic drainage massage therapy over the face (around the nose) avoid sun exposure, and take pain/inflamation pills, as your surgeron precribe you.Kind regards, Dr. Emmanuel Mallol Cotes.-

It simply way too early to pass judgment on the operation. There still a sizable amount of swelling and even erythema of the skin. Wait six months before passing judgment.

Without pre-op photos- it's difficult to comment accurately. Generally speaking- 8 days is far too early to assess your final result. Give it time. Keep in contact with your Plastic Surgeon until you are fully satisfied.

At 8 days you are likely pretty swollen and you will have to give it a year or more for all the swelling to subside.

Hi.  Any and every nose is swollen at one week when the cast or splint comes off.  Immediately after cast removal the nose will swell up even more.  Thereafter it takes months and years (up to 5 years) to see major reduction of swelling but every patient has a different biophysiology and different time table for reduction of swelling.  Every tip will deproject and de-rotate in the first 3-4 months.  You are very early in that course.  So yes it should get better.  BUT the question remains how well was the surgery originally done by the surgeon and did he do anything to actually add more projection and I cannot answer that for you.  Hang in there for now and don't panic yet.  Its early.
