I'm not aware of any major impact on rhinoplasty surgery created by any special foods. In the early post-op period- while the packing and splint are on- we usually recommend more of a soft diet without vigorous chewing.
Thank you for the question. My usual recommendation post rhinoplasty is to stick to a soft diet. It does not really matter what foods you consume although a healthy well balanced diet is recommended. The soft diet is aimed around minimising your post operative swelling. Firm foods require more force to chew and can potentiate swelling. In your case I would just minimise your toast intake but pastas are a good choice.RegardsDr Guy Watts
Not knowing the type of rhinoplasty you had, it is a safe bet to stick to soft foods until your surgeon directs you otherwise. It is also important to not eat foods or drink beverages of a very hot temperature, because heat can cause swelling and bleeding postoperatively. I wish you a speedy recovery.
There are no dietary restrictions for surgery in terms of foods. Some surgeons prefer you be off of vitamin E and fish oil because they believe that this makes the blood thinner and increases bleeding. All the best,Talmage Raine MD FACS
Hi. It is impossible to determine the cause of your symptoms without a full history and examination. It may be that your issues can be addressed with a septorhinoplasty which can correct airway issues. If it is truly your sinuses then this can also be done at the same time. Regards Damien
Dear ficullen, I would confirm with your operating surgeon what their recommendations are, but in our office we have patients clean their nose with a Q tip and half strength hydrogen peroxide a few times a day, and then follow up with bacitracin on the inside as well. Once patients are 3 days...
I dont see why you couldnt, But i would check with your surgeon being that we all have our own opinions.
Hello, Thank you for your question. I'd recommend booking a follow-up appointment with your Board Certified Plastic Surgeon for an assessment. Take care.
You would benefit from a cartilage graft placed in this area to correct the asymmetry. This can be harvested from your septum and is probably best addressed with an open approach.
Great question! Every surgeon prices their procedures differently, which explains why the cost for a rhinoplasty with one physician might be different than with others. There are many factors that are taken into consideration when creating a quote for surgery. The doctors level of expertise, the...
