I see the work of some of the best surgeons in manhattan and basically all the time they seem very fake looking to me... (Very round and noticeably not real breasts). I want to get a breast augmentation some time in my life but I don't want them to look fake - I want them to look so real that people wouldn't even question it. I am 5'2 - 95 pounds and a small C cup. If I wanted to get to a large D cup (or maybe a little bigger) would it be possible for them to look real?

In general the larger the implant combined with someone who is petite with little body fat, the more likelihood of an unnatural appearance. Factors such as implant location, under the muscle, and type of implant, do affect final outcome, shape and level of natural appearance. If you are truely a small C cup and desire a D cup, then a reasonable and natural outcome for you seems reasonable. Seek out a board certified plastic surgeon who will spend time with you and make your desires and expectations clear. Good luck.

Listen to your surgeon's advice about what range of sizes would work best with your tissue and frame. Ask to see his/her photos. Some women do want the "fake" look.
