I started to do my boob massage today? And I have white discharge

I am assuming that the discharge is from your nipple and not from your incision.  If it is from your incision, they your need to consult with your plastic surgeon ASAP.  If you are getting discharge from your nipple upon manipulation, that is less concerning.  It is not uncommon to have some discharge after breast surgery and in particular with manipulation of the breast.It is always best to discuss this with your plastic surgeon, as an exam would be the best way to rule out anything serious.Good luck.

Consult immediately with your surgeon. The fluid may be lactation fluid or breast milk. It is critical however not to miss a breast infection or abscess.

Hi Malena, Thanks for your question.  If the white discharge you're referring to is coming from the incision then you need to see your plastic surgeon asap.  If the discharge you're mentioning is from the nipple then rest assured that this is not uncommon especially in women who've breast fed in the past. If you are seeing white discharge from your nipple, this is not that uncommon in women who get an augmentation after having children and breast feeding. Usually, it will go away as you heal and the swelling subsides. If you are having discharge from your incision, please call your surgeon and ask to be seen.

Thank you for your question.  Sometimes after a BA there can be lactation that occurs or breast milk.  It usually does not last for an extended amount of time.  But you should notify your PS as soon as possible to make sure you are not having any current abscess or infection in the breast.
