Pain under scar 11 weeks post op. What could it be?

Hello,Based on what you have ruled out, it sounds like this could be related to scar tissue or tension from internal, dissolveable sutures. Sometimes patients report a sensation of tightness and pulling under the IMF crease until the sutures fully dissolve and tissues relax around 2 months. Follow up with your Plastic Surgeon for assessment if this is really bothering you or getting worse.All the best

The pain may be associated with the scar tissue that has formed from the procedure and arm motions and deep breaths may be causing the scar tissue to feel like it is pulling.  This can be interpreted as a feeling of pain.  This usually resolves over time, becoming less frequent, less intense and lasting shorter periods of time.  Be patient.  You should follow-up with your surgeon though to make sure nothing else is going on.

At 11 weeks post op, the scar capsule around the breast implant may becoming tighter.  Sometimes an early capsular contracture can result in the pain you are describing.  Check back with your surgeon, if it is a capsular contracture there are options short of a surgery that may help.  Breast massage and anti-inflammatory medications ( Singulair) may be considered.  Best wishes, Dr Lepore.
