Had lip fillers today (Juvederm 2) but I've banged it quite hard. What do I do?

Had juverderm 2 fillers today in my top and bottom lips but my daughter threw her head back and bang them quite hard not it feels like there's a bit missing in the out lone of my lips what should I do??

Sorry to hear about this incident.  I would wait a couple days to let the swelling go down.  Then return to your injector who may be able to manipulate the Juvederm to create a smoother contour if the product was displaced by the incident.

It is not very common for this to happen, however, it is possible that it can move it the trauma is significant enough and occures within the first few days after the injection. I would recommend going back to see your provider. If it did in fact move, they should be able to the move the filler back into position. Hope this helps.

It's unlikely in my experience that what you described will really affect the result.  In my opinion, you should just stay put and be patient for a week, and judge the final results.  If any issues remain, visit your PS and ask for their opinion.

Hello Mrsbroughton,If the hit was hard enough it definitely can move the filler in the first 48-72 hours.  Since you are feeling a missing spot I would recommend you follow up with your injector.  This person can help to guide the filler back into the appropriate position.  If you wait too long then this becomes no longer an option so the sooner the better.  I hope this helps and good luck.

Thanks for your question, Mrs. Broughton.  HA fillers like Juvederm can remain pliable for a few days after injection, and thus can be molded into (or out of) the original position and shape it was injected.  I suggest you contact your injector to see about getting in quickly.  They may be able to mold it back into position.  Best of luck to you!
