FUE 2 weeks post op hair direction and frontal hairline issues. Are my current results normal?

Question

Had my first trans 16 days ago. I'm 27, had 1700 grafts in the front. I'm freaking out about the quality 1. The hairs look to be placed angularly wrong, right side looks 90°/random direction to normal hair, left side questionable. 2. The hairline has some double hairs. 3. Couple odd hairs sprouting beneath hairline. Are any of the above an issue you can see/is it normal? I worrying unnecessarily? If there is an issue can it be fixed & how? I'm 2 weeks post op could it be fixed now? Thanks

It may take 8-12 months before seeing the final results of your hair transplant surgery. If you are concerned with the density and shape, follow up with your surgeon for an exam.

Looking at the pics closely I can see what you're talking about but I think its too soon to worry. The angulation of the hairs seems to fan out evenly from one side to the other in a lateral direction. The grafts are still surrounded by scar tissue that will be contracting for the next year and likely the direction of the hairs will change over time. And you'll be able to train the hairs over time with your usual styling. The doubles on the hairline can be plucked if they are obvious once grown in. Or they can be removed with a small FUE punch if necessary. I would encourage you to allow the grafts to heal and grow and see how they layer against the existing hairs. It will look more and more natural as time goes on and the hair gets some length to it.

It is very early to make any comments about the hair growth direction - it always seems a little random at first due to swelling etc. As for the double hair - remember some of the follicles will produce more than one hair! This is normal. Best of luck, Dr. M

I always tell my patients to expect the unexpected in the early post-op period. With that mindset, anything that seemingly goes wrong is actually part of the process. In your case, nothing seems unusual at all. I would say that if you're noticing double hairs in the frontal hairline, the only problem is that you're analyzing too much! It's more likely that the single unit in front of it shed already. 
With hair transplant, as with any cosmetic procedure, the results take time. Do not make any judgements so soon. It looks actually quite good for 2 weeks!

From the photos it is difficult to tell if the grafts were put in the wrong direction. At this stage you will have to wait until the hair has grown to determine the results
