Thank you for your question! It is very common for breasts to lose their volume and/or result in sagging after weight loss. An implant proportionate to your height and weight will provide you with more volume along with rounder, perkier breasts. Once you visit a skilled plastic surgeon, they will discuss the different sizes and type of implant that will best suite you. They will also take measurements and determine whether or not a breast lift is needed.
A breast lift may be a very good option to lift and reshape breasts, but an exam would be necessary to make that determination. Breast fat transfer can produce one cup size increase in most patients. If you want more than one cup, implants would likely be a better choice.Consult with a board certified plastic surgeon to discuss fat grafting and implants and then decide what is best for you to achieve the natural looking breasts you have in mind.Kenneth Hughes, MD, Board Certified Plastic SurgeonLos Angeles, CA
Hi handymanstu, Breast implant type and size selection is a complicated process and requires a detailed consultation that includes a discussion of your goals, a detailed examination, and a lengthy discussion of the pros and cons of the various types and sizes. But the decision will always start and end with the patient. When it comes to sizing, we have all of our patients find 3 photos of their desired breast size. We ask for naked breast photos because clothing can obscure the true size (push up bras). Next, we consult with patients and go over the photos and take detailed breast measurements during a physical exam. Next, we using a sizing algorithm to determine a range of implants that will work based on the exam and the measurements. Lastly, during the operation, we use silicone sizers in the operating room to see how the size actually looks in the breast. We sit the patient up in the operating room, while asleep of course, and compare the sizer result with their desired look photos. If it is too small, we start the process over with a slightly larger implant. We don't stop until we get the perfect match. Of all of my breast augmentation patients, every one of them has been happy with their size due to this detailed and meticulous process. You don't want to invest time and money into a result that is either too big or too small. You should discuss your concerns with your plastic surgeon and make sure that your surgeon understands your goals. A breast lift is one good option to get rid of the sagging and make your breasts tighter and perkier. It is best to consult with a board-certified plastic surgeon for an in-person examination.
Based on your photos and your own description it appears that a mastopexy augmentation would be the best solution. An in person consultation where actual measurements can be taken would aid in the decision making process.best wishes
Hi, thanks for sharing your concern and photos with us! First I want to congratulate you for making this important decision. Deciding to get an aesthetic procedure to change your body and get a new life style is a big step! Looking at your photos I might say that you´ll be a great candidate to get a breast augmentation with implants. The size of the implant will depend of what you want and what your body support; the results of this procedure are beautiful, giving you and excellent shape of the inner and outer pole of the breast. Before all this, of course, you need to get a complete medical evaluation and laboratory exams to check everything is fine. For us your safety, always, is going to be first. Have a great day! Dr. JPG
If you want yourbreast fuller and are happy with the shape of them, then an implant will befine. Keep in mind an implant will only "fill our breast up" it willnot "lift them up". They will look just like they do now, they arejust bigger and fuller with an implant only. If you feel this will meet yourgoals, then an augmentation should be fine. If you are unhappy with theposition of your breast and feel they are too low, then an implant will likelynot satisfy you and you will want to consider the lift. A lift will "liftthem up" and put them in a higher position, change the size of the areolaand "lift" them off of your chest. Often times both of theseprocedures are combined to achieve an optimal result. By lifting them andadding volume, the breast will not only sit higher on your chest but will alsohave the nice fullness from the implant. Dr ScottEnnis - Plastic Surgeon – Destin and Miami , Fl
Congratulations on the weight loss, but yes, it often takes a toll on the breasts. The right procedure will really depend on what look you want. A breast lift will keep your current volume but place your breasts on a higher plane on your chest -- making them more perky. Combining this with an implant will also increase volume. Hope this helps.
Hi. The attached photograph is not ideal for assessment. That said, in general terms, if you desire more volume (due to having lost weight etc) you would require a breast implant of sorts - this does not have be very large, but is tailored to your desires and chest measurements. You benefit from a lift in addition to this volume, and this is best assessed by a plastic surgeon, at consultation.
Your boobs look normal! However your nipples are a little lower than many people would like. However, I would not be quick to recommend an uplift as the degree of ptosis (droop) is small and there are disadvantages in uplift surgery.A small silicone implant would fill out your breasts and may give your breasts an appearance closer to what you would like. This may be your best option.Fat grafting is also an option but the results can be variable.I advise you to think carefully about how you would like to change your breasts. Look at before and after pictures and keep examples of what you like and do not like. Then have a consultation with a suitably qualified and trained plastic surgeon take the pictures with you. Best wishes
As a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon with over 30 years experience, I can assure you that most every woman has some differences between breasts. The degree can vary greatly, but by the time you are 18, your breasts have typically grown as much as they are going to. The difference in your breasts...
You are still very early at ten days postop, and there will be many changes with time. It appears that both photographs are of the right breast. Without knowing what surgical technique was used for your areolar reduction one cannot tell exactly what is going on. I recommend that you address your...
Statistically you should be able to breast feed regardless whether your implants are submuscular or subglandular. I would recomend avoiding the peri-areolar incision and select an inframammary incision.
