Breast augmentation and areola reduction. my nipple looks wonky and deformed? Opinions? (Photos)

I would suggest visiting with your surgeon sooner rather than later so he or she can advise you on how you should be caring for this, and massaging it.  This could be due to swelling, but regardless, if the nipple was allowed to remain in this position while it heals, scar can form a "biologic glue "that will keep it somewhat distorted.Best of luck!

Thank you for your question.It appears everything is healing well. You are very early in the healing process. It could just be swelling that is making the nipple look that way. Stay patient and this should resolve over the next couple weeks. Good luck with recovery.

You are still very early at ten days postop, and there will be many changes with time. It appears that both photographs are of the right breast. Without knowing what surgical technique was used for your areolar reduction one cannot tell exactly what is going on. I recommend that you address your concerns with your surgeon, as they known what to expect.

I would agree that that does not appear to be the typical appearance of an areola after reduction and breast enlargement, however, I am not privy to what occurred during the procedure.  Best to speak with your surgeon regarding your concerns.

You posted the same picture twice. Following surgery there are often wrinkles and ripples in the tissue that even out and settle with time. This can take 3 to 9 months to occur. I think that this will likely be the case in your situation. Discuss your concerns with your surgeon.

They do look a bit "wonky" but that may be related to swelling and you are very early in the healing process. They likely will improve as the swelling subsides.  

You look normal for 10 days post op. It's going to take anywhere from 3-6 months for the swelling to fully subside. Be patient. Best of luck.
