Rhinoplasty surgeons- Can I take these acne medications before my operation?

I would recommend checking with your surgeon's office on Monday since your surgery is several weeks away.  These medications are typically safe during surgery and anesthesia

 It is best to ask your operative surgeon, since they're the one performing your  rhinoplasty procedure. If your doctor is away on vacation, the nursing personnel should be able to answer your questions. In our practice tetracycline by mouth and topical acne medications are acceptable

The medications you have listed should not interfere with anesthesia or cause increased bruising.  The oral medication is an antibiotic, and they are commonly prescribed before surgeries to help prevent infection.  The other medication is topical and should not be a problem.I would suggest not using the topical gel on or near your nose leading up to the surgery.  Otherwise, using these up to the week of your surgery should not be a problem.

One problem the concern  you with is that any area that has tape on it will probably cause acne underneath to flare up. You may want to stay on an antibiotic until the tape is removed.
