Is my nose forever crooked/dented or will it heal straight again?

Hello Joon98,If there is an obvious change in the shape of your nose following trauma then your nose was likely broken.  There will be swelling which can mask the final deformity of the nose in the beginning.  As the swelling goes down that dent will likely become more noticeable.  I would recommend you see a facial plastic surgeon or a general plastic surgeon who has a lot of facial experience for evaluation.  Sometimes when seen early enough small procedures can be performed to set everything back in place.  The longer you wait the more likely you will need a larger operation involving controlled fractures of the nasal bones and possible grafts to improve the appearance.I hope this helps and good luck.  

Trauma to the nose  can create a displaced or non-displaced fracture of the nasal bone. It can also cause a disarticulation of the upper lateral cartilage off of the nasal bone. A rhinoplasty procedure can accomplish straightening  the obviously crooked nose. To straighten the nose,osteotomies are required to be placed in the nasal bones when they're fractured and twisted. A spreader graft composed of the patient's own cartilage is  placed underneath the concave upper lateral cartilage in the mid portion of the nose.
