I had Juvederm fillers in my lips placed about a month ago. My top lip sticks out weird and curves up. I posted a side profile pic of Kim kardashians big lips. Her top lip does not lift it lays properly, how do I achieve this look? Is the skin between my nose at top lip too long? Or is my injector poorly skilled? Please give me constructive feedback in regards to achieving the look I desire. Thank you

Answer: Lip augmentation Dear ChasingMyDreamBody,I typically use Juvederm for my lip sculpting because it lasts long. There are two main focuses of lip injections, adding volume and actually sculpting the shape. Both involve injecting the filler in different areas of the lips and patterns. I would recommend finding a plastic surgeon to perform you lip injections for the best result. Most of my patients have results that last at least 6 months if done correctly.Daniel Barrett, MD, MHA, MS Certified, American Board of Plastic Surgery Member, Am. Society of Plastic Surgery

Answer: Why does my top lip look weird after Juvederm? Duck face Hi there, your top lip is slightly over filled for the look you were hoping to achieve. There is nothing wrong with the skin above your upper lip. Every individual has lips that increase in size with filler differently. You may wish to go back to your board certified dermatologist and ask for Hyelenex. This is a Hyaluronidase which melts part of the filler away. Once some of it is dissolved, wait two weeks for it to settle in. You will probably like the way your lips looks much more. Good luck, Dr. Downie
