Pricing for Dysport varies by office and sometimes by injector. It is important to understand the cost and number of units to be injected prior to your treatment. You will be able to see your final results after two weeks. If you are unsatisfied and feel you overpaid I encourage you to discuss your concerns with the office.
Hello katieh2.I'm sorry your experience has not been a pleasant one with this office. It's too bad you feel they may have stolen from you. I suggest you contact them and review all the things that were done or get a copy of your record. Hopefully, this is just poor communication and you will feel better after you talk to them and your Dysport kicks in!Best wishes. Dr. ALDO
Thank you for your question. It is hard to determine if you got ripped off. Female patients normally spend on average between $200-$400 on their Dysport treatments. The price per unit for Dysport can be anywhere from $4.00 and higher. Location and demographic plays a role in how much offices charge per unit. If you feel that you got ripped off I would communicate that to the office you received your Dysport treatments at. Best, Dr. Desai.
I generally put 40 - 60 units in the 11's and 20 - 40 in the forehead. Average price for Dysport is between $4.50 - $5.00 per unit. I think what is most important is for you to assess the results. If you love the way you look, then $430 seems very reasonable. If you aren't sure you love the results, then I recommend following up with your injector.
The average dose for treating frown lines and forehead lines with Botox is 30 units or 90 units with Dysport. Both the dose and price vary. The price varies by location and injector experience. $430 is an appropriate price for treating the frown lines and forehead lines atleast in South Florida where I practice.
It is hard to say without knowing the dosing used. In a female, maximum dosing is 60-70 in glabella and 25 units in the forehead. At those doses, the pricing seems to be well within the average price for Dysport which is about $5 per unit. If you only received 70 units or less, it is on the high side of pricing.
Thank you for your question. Treatment of two areas for $430 would be a fairly average charge. I suspect you had more injections than you remember. I often have patients ask me if I am going to do an area after I have already done it. Without knowing the exact number of units injected, it is very difficult to say you were ripped off. If you get an appropriate response after 10 days, I suspect you received more than 50-60 units. If you have a concern with your results after 10-14 days, you should follow up with your injector.I hope this was helpful - Dr. Moore.
