Can Dysport be used instead of Botox for platysmal bands?

Yes both Dysport and Botox can be used to treat platysmal bands. If you are not seeing results after two weeks return to your injector for an evaluation. You may require a touch up. I've included a video I hope you find helpful.

You can use either Botox or Dysport for treatment of platysmal bands. They are essentially the same with the exception of minor differences. True Botox or Dysport resistance is very rare. If your platysmal bands are present at rest (secondary to muscle separation and not overactivity) then neither Botox or Dysport will work. Make sure you are under the care of an experienced injector.
