I'm 5ft 11 and currently weigh about 168lb my BMI is about 24. But I'm 14lb over my ideal weight. Having gained weight over lockdown. Since everyone says you need to be your ideal weight before having the BBL, should I lose weight before having one?
Answer: Ideal weight for BBL This is a very good questions. "Ideal weight" means: 1- a healthy weight (BMI 20-25) 2- a weight that you're comfortable maintaining with your current lifestyle. i.e you.re not planning on losing or gaining weight for any reason. You current BMI and body frame/shape is ideal for BBL. But if you don't like your current weight for any reason, (for example you feel too heavy on arms, shoulder, face which would not be corrected with BBL), and you want to lose some weight, you can do so and have the surgery when you achieve your target weight.

Answer: Depends What is your BMI. Based on your pics, I do not feel too strongly that you need to loose weight prior to the Surgery. In fact, having some fat tissue for liposuction is desirable for BBL

Answer: Liposuction and BBL candidate Thanks for the question. In this regard, I recommend you waist and back Liposculpture, getting better curves especially in the waist, improving your body contour. Finally, I suggested take the fat we get and transfer to the buttocks and hips, to mold them and get better volume, contour and butt projection, is that we know as "Brazilian Butt Lift" (BBL). Kind regards

Answer: My Recomendation Dear Pd2021, Thank you for your question. If you’re getting a BBL we will definitely need to take fat from your body and a liposuction will be needed. However you need to have fat for. You can’t get BBL without liposuction. Make sure you go on consultation with a board-certified plastic surgeon. Hope this helps and best of lucks. Dr. Luis Mejia.

Answer: BBL candidate Dear Pd2021, based on your photos, you look like a good candidate for a BBL. Liposuction of your abdomen, back and flanks should give you more curves and hourglass shape and fat transfer to buttocks should give you more projection. I would suggest you to consult a board-certified plastic surgeon because only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations.
