Will ozempic interfere with my BBL and when do I have to stop taking it before the surgery?

Doctor want me to take my BMI down to 37 before procedure. So my weight loss doctor put me on ozempic. My question is. When do I have to stop talking ozempic before the surgery and does ozempic interfere with how I will heal or having the surgery all together???

every plastic surgeon has his own preoperative protocol which he recommends to his patients. I would suggest you to discuss this with your plastic surgeon.

Hi and welcome to our forum!Ozempic is the trade name for semaglutide, a drug used as an adjunct to diet and exercise to improve glycemic control, reducing the risk of potential cardiovascular events.There does not appear to be any contraindications to administration of the drug concurrently with any anesthetic, and it will not impair healing. However, I recommend you contact the physician who prescribed the drug, for his / her input. Your primary care physician should be "kept in the loop" regarding the procedure.Best wishes...
