I’ve always considered my left to be my good side due to the awkward bump on my right. I’ve been asked by a provider if I’ve had a nose job previously but, no just born this way. In a perfect outcome my right would look like my left and all around be more refined… what does something like that cost and can I achieve this only by surgery?

Answer: Refining Nasal Asymmetry: Is Surgery the Only Way? It’s completely understandable to want your right profile to match the side you feel most confident about. What you’re describing sounds like natural nasal asymmetry—very common, but often noticeable to the person themselves more than others. For permanent refinement and true correction of structural differences, surgical rhinoplasty remains the most effective option. Bony and cartilaginous bumps cannot be reshaped without surgery, and non-surgical alternatives (like filler) are generally not recommended for this type of concern, especially when size reduction or contour precision is the goal. As for cost, primary rhinoplasty typically ranges around $3,500, though this varies based on location, surgeon experience, and facility fees. Consulting with a board-certified rhinoplasty surgeon will provide you with both a clear diagnosis and a customized plan. I hope this helps you better understand your options and what to expect moving forward. — Güray Yeşiladalı, MD

Answer: Nasal bump Many thanks for your question If it is solely the bump that concerns you and if this is due to the underlying structure of the nose such as a prominence of the nasal bone which is most likely as you mention that it has always been that way, then this would be a relatively straightforward procedure which can be undertaken as a closed rhinoplasty and should achieve an improved outcome. However, if the bump is due to an issue with your skin then there may be non-surgical solutions that could help. The cost will be dependent upon local costings and the experience of your practitioner. Best Wishes
