My nose appears to be bulbous and a bit too much projected from the side even though I don’t have a hump. I’ve been wondering if anything could be done to make it less projected without actually changing the front because that would mess it up and make it more prominent. Plus, my skin appears to be thick, which is tricky. I just want it to be flat, less projected and soft all around. I’ll include both my picture and the ones of the nose I’d prefer.
Answer: Rhinoplasty to correct the bulbous nasal tip appearance. Based on your photos, you appear to have relatively thick and oily skin on the tip of your nose. This is associated with the wide nasal tip appearance, and a retracted columella on profile with a small profile bump. Rhinoplasty techniques may be considered for achieving a narrower and less distracting nasal appearance. Please consider meeting with several reputable specialist so you can see what to expect moving forward. Sincerely, Dr. Joseph

Answer: More projection, not less Hello from Istanbul! The issue you're facing with the bulbous tip is likely due to a need for more projection in your nose, not less. This includes enhancing the projection of both the nasal bridge and the tip. To achieve a more aesthetically pleasing bridge, I recommend considering rib cartilage augmentation. This is something we frequently perform when working on patients with a bulbous tip. This technique can provide the structure and definition needed to balance your nasal features, making your nose appear less bulbous and more harmoniously integrated with your facial structure. Hope this helps.

Answer: #rhinoplasty Hi Warnty You can make your nose more refined with a rhinoplasty. This can remove the slight hump on the dorum, narrow the dorsum from the front view and refine the tip of the nose. The most important issue is the thick skin which is the downside of rhinoplasty as this cannot be fully corrected. It will teak 2-3 years to get your full result and you will likely need steroid injections to improve the shape of the tip. Good luck!

Answer: Open rhinoplasty You have a very broad bony base as well as the cartilage of the tip is broad. You are a candidate for an open rhinoplasty to def-fat the tip, the cartilage made more prominent and the dorsal concavity needs to be corrected as well. This would take 2 hours to perform and costs $8,000. Best Wishes, Gary Horndeski, M.D.

Answer: Rhinoplasty Thank you for your question. You are an excellent candidate for rhinoplasty. I think it is one of the most beautifying surgeries that we do as plastic surgeons. A large portion of my practice is dedicated to rhinoplasty surgery. It is important to only see plastic surgeons with extensive experience in rhinoplasty, ie perform at least 6 per month and have performed hundreds of cases. Also, critically evaluate on-line galleries to see if their art form resonates with yours. Rhinoplasty is definitely a grey haired plastic surgeon's sport. Best wishes to you.
